The author being a dental practitioner himself, should know that an Oral Medicine specialist is the qualified person to medically manage oral precancers such as OSMF. Also an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon is the specialist who can effectively manage the condition surgically. There is no necessity for a patient to consult ENT specialists or Plastic surgeons for OSMF.
